Miller Knight were appointed to carry out the Passive Fire Protection works at the Bishop Gate scheme in Coventry.
The project transforms the site of the former Royal Mail sorting office into high quality purpose-built student accommodation with gardens, bicycle storage, multi-use courtyards and an impressive frontage, including retail units open to the public.
The design and build project delivers 725 student bedrooms, communal facilities and shell and core retail space, together with associated external works and services. The student accommodation blocks consist of retail units on the ground floor, three residential towers – the tallest having 17 storeys, the others 13 and 14 respectively – communal kitchens, gymnasium and laundry areas.
