Commerson Retirement Developments, North West

Introduction

Beechwood, Oakwood, and Larchwood are 3 residential developments in the North West of England designed for over 60’s retirement living.

Surveys were carried out across all buildings and identified missing and inadequate vertical passive fire protection within the service risers.

Service Provided

Miller Knight was appointed as Principal Contractor on the 3 schemes. Our services included:

• Full on site setup
• The sealing of all unprotected service penetrations / voids within communal areas and properties
• Full electronic audit trail
• Redecoration / resinstatement works

Project Outcomes

Works across all buildings were completed in the agreed period and certified and signed off with a FIRAS certificate of conformity.

Working across occupied properties and communal areas, we ensured minimal disruption to residents and staff via our discreet, friendly and professional approach.

We were mindful of noise levels and COVID-19 restrictions throughout the project, ensuring to keep the number of operatives working within an individual property to a minimum.
