Miller Knight 2025: Celebrating Milestones, Growth, and Our People
2025 has been a landmark year for Miller Knight, defined by significant growth, industry recognition, and the successful delivery of complex, high-quality projects across the UK. From being named Fastest Growth Business of the Year in the East Midlands to achieving a £40m turnover, the business has continued to strengthen its position as a national leader in the construction and building safety sector.
As a leading provider of remedial fire safety services, Miller Knight has continued to deliver gold-standard, fully compliant solutions, supporting clients nationwide in navigating increasingly complex building safety and regulatory requirements.
In 2025, this included the successful completion of several landmark projects, most notably the £17m flagship fire remediation scheme at The Gateway, the conclusion of the six-year programme of works at The Old Tannery – one of the longest running contracts in Miller Knight’s history, and the delivery of comprehensive fire remediation works at James Watt Way.
Building on last year’s strategic expansion into regeneration and refurbishment, Miller Knight successfully delivered a range of projects in 2025. These included works at the grade-listed WQE College, Bramcote Crematorium, and the completion of the highly anticipated Cornerstone Theatre for Ashfield District Council.
The Cornerstone Theatre project exemplified Miller Knight’s technical expertise and project delivery capability. Specialist works involved reconfiguring the existing space to create a modern, multi-use theatre for students, and the wider community, incorporating new AV equipment, rigging systems, and enhanced performance facilities designed for long-term use.
Throughout the year, Miller Knight was also proud to establish new partnerships with a number of key clients, including Center Parcs, Mansfield District Council, Phoenix Futures, and Broxtowe Borough Council; further strengthening the company’s regional client base.
The company’s achievements have not gone unnoticed. In addition to being named Fastest Growth Business at the BusinessDesk.com Awards, Miller Knight was shortlisted for several prestigious national and regional accolades, including Contractor of the Year (under £500m turnover) at the Construction News Awards, Fire Safety Installation Company of the Year at the FSM Awards, and Contractor of the Year at the East Midlands BRICS Awards.
This success is driven by the strength, expertise, and the commitment of the Miller Knight team. To support continued growth and project delivery, the business welcomed 12 new team members in 2025, further strengthening capability across all service lines.
Managing Director at Miller Knight, Matthew Flower commented on the business’ success this year: “2025 has been a defining year for Miller Knight. Being recognised as the Fastest Growth Business is a real testament to the hard work, dedication, and professionalism of our team. Our success has been built on a strong focus on quality, compliance and collaboration with our clients, alongside a commitment to sustainable growth. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved this year and excited about the opportunities ahead.”
The year also saw the return of Miller Knight’s Building Safety Forum in London, delivered in collaboration with TFT and BB7. The event featured a keynote address from Dame Judith Hackitt, alongside a series of expert-led discussions focused on building safety, compliance, and the future of the regulatory landscape.
Looking ahead to 2026, Miller Knight remains on strong growth trajectory. With building safety works progressing through the BSR Gateway process, continued demand for regeneration and modernisation projects, and the ongoing drive and expertise of its people, the business is well-positioned for another successful year.
