National Apprenticeship Week 2019 – Aspire
Day 3 of #NAW2019 brings us to our #AskAnApprentice day! We are looking at Aspire and what our Apprenticeship has allowed our Apprentices to achieve.
We asked Nick Mackenzie-Watts, an Apprentice who has been with us since October 2018, what has your apprenticeship enabled you to achieve?
“My apprenticeship with Miller Knight has had a huge impact on various aspects of my life. It was a big decision for me to move to an Apprenticeship, but I felt it was a great way for me to step into a new trade. Since being here, it’s really apparent that there’s a great path of progression, and Miller Knight is already showing me how I can progress once I have completed my Apprenticeship with them.
I didn’t realise how much of an impact the Apprenticeship would have on my life outside of work too, but I’ve noticed I have a much happier and better quality of life now; I have more time outside of work for a more structured family and social life, and my work/life balance has increased significantly, compared to before.
For the first time in a long time I feel like I’m no longer stuck in a rut; I have a great path ahead of me and I can’t wait to complete my Apprenticeship and see what the future holds for me, with Miller Knight.”
