Bluecoat Trent Academy, Nottingham

Introduction

Bluecoat Trent Academy is a secondary school based in Aspley, Nottingham, and is the newest addition to the Archway Learning Trust’s family of schools.

Due to an increased number of sixth form students, the client required additional classrooms and WC facilities. This involved the conversion of existing space within the school.

Service Provided

Miller Knight were appointed as Principal Designer and Contractor, ensuring the effective co-ordination and management of all trades. Scope of works included:

• Demolition & Strip Out
• M&E Design and Installations
• Sanitaryware & Plumbing
• Internal Partitions & Door Sets
• Suspended Ceilings
• Decoration
• Replacement Floor coverings

Project Outcomes

We were able to create a new ground floor arts room, SEN room and first floor toilet block.  2 of the existing classrooms were adapated and full refurbished.

It was paramount we delivered the project within the given timescales.  We had to ensure the building was fully operational in time for the new academic year.
